Q&A

Q: How did you come up with the name Transcend Financial Advisors?

A: When it comes to money, firstly, it is the number one cause of people’s anxiety and the strain of relationships. Secondly, money won’t buy you more happiness after you make above $70,000 a year.

Our hope is that a comprehensive financial plan will ensure the financial future of your dreams and beyond, as we work together to help you transcend your goals and live richly and abundantly.

Q: Is there a minimum fee for consultation?

A: The initial consultation for the first 30 minutes are at no cost to you. We are happy to provide this service to anyone interested in taking control of their financial health.  While there is no pressure to engage us for further aid, our initial analysis of your financial situation is intended to establish a working relationship that we hope will be advantageous to you for years to come. If you decide to engage us for our service, service fees range from $500-$5,000 a year depending on the complexity of the plan, with the option to pay monthly.

Q: Where are you located?

A: Our home office is in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Q: Can I work with you if I don’t live in North Carolina?

A: Yes, we can work with any U.S. citizen within the United States. We can deliver our services virtually and work with you through phone, email and webinar. We can be reached from the comfort of your own home.

Q: What is the difference between a financial planner and an investment representative?

A: Financial planners must obtain the CFP® designation, which enables them to charge fees for the financial services they provide. They are required to uphold the higher ethical standard to serve clients’ best interests as a fiduciary.

Investment representatives charge a commission for the investment products they sell. They are only required to satisfy the suitability requirement.

A Financial Planner can better serve client’s financial needs with a more comprehensive and holistic approach. Because there are no product sales involved, the financial planner will give you advice in a more objective and unbiased way. It is more transparent and suitable for the breadth of our services.
